I plan on finding out. I'm sort of stealing this from Jay, so sorry about that.
Since most of my work seems to be moving to linux, and the fact that I don't have a working windows PC right now, I plan on fully making the switch over to linux. The only real thing that has held me back is that linux supposedly doesn't run the popular games. From what I've been reading lately, this is false.
Games such as UT and UT2004 have native linux support. Then there is Wine/Cedega for the rest.
I plan on writing up a blog (yeah I hate them too) on starting from a blank PC to a working linux box that runs:
* UT/UT2K3/UT2K4
* Quake 2/3
* Halflife 1/2
* Battlefield 1942/2
* C&C Generals
* Starcraft
* Guild wars
And yes, these are all supported at nearly full speed. I'll try working on it soon and post up a link for you guys. I do want to use this pc at our lan parties.
