Are PC games Dead?
Anyone who knows me knows I have always been pro PC but I'm starting to feel like it's a market that is just doomed. It's just too costly to play the new games, with the constant upgrades in video cards, processors and having the networking nightmares. I just can’t see the PC market keeping up with the next gen consoles. Perfect example I’m over at best buy looking through the PC games and all I see are 2 shelves which are not even full.
On to the Networking Nightmares, LAN parties have always been fun to have but it’s always the same old story. “Do you have that (x)game installed” “Great! What version do you have” "oh you need 2-3 patches because I’m on a different version” Once that has been complete 2 hours later.
It’s time to join the game. Let’s hope no one has a bad network card or something. Do you see all of the problems LAN parties have to go though?
But using consoles. Just put in the game and connect. It’s that simple. I still feel PC games will always be around but it’s becoming an ever smaller group of people.
Look at the Xbox 360 its processor design blows away the PC and its only 400.00.
