Far Cry has a really good engine ill give it that and gameplay but the storyline sucked hl2 = good storyline awesome physics great engine only abd thing is the AI sucked
Yeah, the story was pretty lame for Far Cry. And the weak cliche'd voice acting didn't help any either.

But in my opinion, two very solid games worth any FPS's time. I perfered Half Life 2. But some things I did like about Far Cry better were of course the large scale rendering of the engine, an actual real time shadowing engine (look closely and you'll see that Half Life 2 lacks real time shadowing. for instance, try to lure some enemies near a light source and you'll see that their shadows won't manipulate and react to different local lighting environments), and that there wasn't too much limitation on how you could reach a destination. You didn't have to always blast your way through an area to get to a certain point unlike Half Life 2.

Default Far cry

I definately pick Paul for the first person that I play the game with, and then in 2 years when I complete it if I am still alive from malnutrition and crapping myself from not getting up to take a break from playing this game, then I would pick the Yosup..

Default Not compareable

It would be a ridiculous effort to compare these two games. Both games may be FPS but they differ on so many aspects that it's not possible to compare them. You could compare call of duty 1 with call of duty 2;because they both are of similar gameplay and strategy. You can compare half-life with half-life 2 and check what advancements they have made in the later one. But it is completely irrelevant to compare these two games as they differ in numerous levels of gameplay, strategy, sound design, storyline etc.
