Smile GoogleEarth

Google Earth is a really cool program you can download for free from www.googleearth.com. You put in any address, city, state, country whatever you wish and the earth on your computer spins and gives you real life views and shots. Obviously it isn't in real time but it is really neat. You can zoom in to see the tops of peoples heads. We checked out Mt. St. Helens. That was pretty cool. You could turn around to look at it from all different angles. Even look inside as far as the satallite could angle. The mountian tops are amazing. We also zoomed in on the alps to see how unpopulated they are. Anyone curious about the earth or who loves to travel. This is like traveling on your computer.

Default google earth

Goggle earth is a very nice program and fun to look at. I have looked at all kinds of places I have never been. I can now say I've been to England! There are a couple different options of Goggle Earth you can choose from. One of them is free. The others cost money. The free one is what I have. I figure I spend enough money on other things that I really didn't need this. What I don't like about it is that for a lot of areas, you don't get a real closeup. I can't see any of the area where I live. Not the town or county. It's mostly the bigger cities that show up well. I am able to look at some of my relatives houses. I called my Grandma up one day and told her what I was looking at. I asked her when she cut down two of the big trees in her yard. She was all confused and couldn't believe there was such a program. In a way it really makes you feel safe (not). Who knows who is studying your neighborhood.

I've used this program before. It's a neat site. I tried to see details for an address in China, and the images weren't very clear. I think some areas are better represented than others.

I'm thinking that's GOOD for a military base. Maybe it's capabilities are limited for a reason.
