Treo VS Blackberry
What are the major differences between the new Treo and a Blackberry. I have heard a lot more people talking about the Treo lately than I have about the blackberry.
Is the blackberry as cell phone? I know Verizon has the Treo as a cell phone.
I am not really into buying products just because they have a certain name brand associated with them, but I have been hearing a lot of good comments about the Treo. Manly I have heard tons of people talking about Verizon's Cell phone the TREO 700w.
Is there a differnece between a Palm and a cell phone? I thought Palms and Blackberry's were just PDA's. Are they all cell phones? Now I am confused... Some one please help!
I really need someone out there to help explain the difference between a PDA and a cell phone like the Treo 700w.

Treo phone
Verizon has introduced the new treo phone. The keypad is like a small typewriter. Not only that, but it can be used as a MP3 player. It has a small slot for your SD/SDIO card.
It can also be used as a camera. It has a 1.3 megapixel camera with it and has a 60MB storage capacity.
Did I mention that you could talk on it as well? You can use it as a speakerphone or just like a regualr phone.
It also is bluetooth capable and has a 5-way navigator. What else do you need?

I'm not too sure if anyone even uses the blackberry much any more. I think the new TREO is pretty popular.. They were using the TREO 650 and it only operated off of a Palm operating base. Now this spring TREO introduced the 700w and 700p.
The 700w uses a windos operating base...which is the firt time palm has ever done that. It is a pretty cool phone, you can even type word or excell documents in it and you can look at Powerpoint demonstrations with it.

Palm
I don't know what you think, but Palm was the one who started this technology, and if you see all the products they have out there: Palm, LifeDrive, Treo smart phones - I think I'm going to stick with them as they continue to enhance their products.

From what I've heard, Blackberry is easier to navigate and works better as an organizer without all the extra media functions. So, I guess it depends on what you want to use it for.

Late last month, Palm said it plans to introduce a new Treo smartphone in Europe this fall that will replace the Treo 650. Now, what are supposed to be a picture and some specifications of this device have appeared on several web sites.

According to this source, this smartphone will run Windows Mobile 5.0, not the Palm OS as its predecessor does. If true, this will make it the second Windows Mobile Treo to be introduced and the first running this operating system to be available outside of the United States

It will supposedly use a 412 MHz XScale processor and have 128 MB of storage.
This model will reportedly be part of the Treo 700 series but currently uses the code-name Groovy2.
The picture shows a smartphone that greatly resembles previous Treos, but that lacks the unpopular antenna that these models have sported. In addition, according to the source of this rumor, this device will be significantly lighter than other members of the Treo 700 series.
Reportedly, this Treo will debut in Europe in September.
