Default IPod

I hear a lot about IPODS and was wondering if you need to have an (Apple) Mac computer to use with it. Or doesn't it matter?

I installed my IPOD on my dell computer and it works super. I love my IPOD and I find it the easiest MP3 player to use and I really like I tunes the program that comes with the player and you install on your computer. It works as a library storage - playing songs on your computer like any other music playing program - you can choose the playlist or set it on party mood or shuffle. Also, you use this program to select the songs you want on your IPOD, plug your IPOD into your USB port on your computer and hit ADD to ipod. I also like that this program asks you to name your IPOD and when you hook it up it recongizes by the name you gave it. It is also nice that it plugs right into your PC instead of having to buy yet another adapter cord to charge your IPOD.

The only thing that really bites about the "plug it into your computer to charge it" feature of the IPod is when you're on the road. I don't want to turn on my laptop so I can drain its battery to charge my IPod. Fortunately, other devices exist, like a car adapter that you can plug into yolur IPod to charge it. Nice.
