Default Sound through car speakers

I'd like to listen to the songs I have downloaded while driving, but don't want to wear the headphones. Is there anything simple I can buy to have the sound from my MP3 player go through my speakers of the car?

You need an FM transmitter. Do you have an iPod or something else?

Default FM Transmitters

FM transmitters actually work with IPODS or any other MP3 player, they will even work with portable DVD players and CD players too.

Do these work like the ports you can get for your home? Is there just a dock to put your ipod in?

Default Ports

I have not used one but it isn't something that you sit it in, you plug it in. The ones that we have are oval shaped and have wire attached with a plug in on the end. When I have spoken with customers there have been a couple that have told me that the sound wasn't very good for them on the inexpensive one that we have. I had one customer who returned that one and bought the one that was about $33 and was going to go to her car and try it right then and return it if the quality wasn't any better. It must have been all right because she didn't come back in. So I guess you must get what you pay for in that regard. I don't always feel that way about things but sometimes with electronic items it is the case.

So . . . it's kind of like a transmitter radio? Like a portable ipod with speakers? At least that's how I'm picturing it. I better go google this one.

How much does a good port cost. Sounds like it may work for a gift for one of my family members.
