Question Plasma TV problems

I really like the picture that a plasma tv gives, but I have heard horror stories about getting them repaired if they break. Are these tvs really hard to fix or are they eliminating those problems now?

They burnout in a few years, which is impossible to fix.

That doesn't seem really fair, considering the cost of a plasma. Are they even worth it then?

Can you even get an affordable extended warranty on such the plasma if they don't last that long?

At least the stories I have heard, people that have to get work done on them have to send them out to get worked on and sometimes even overseas?!?!? I don't know if this is true, but I think I might have to look at a good lcd tv instead!!

I'm wondering about tiggapooh's question too: what kind of warranties do the plasma tv's come with?

Don't know about the warranty's, I am sure they have a decent warranty like any new electronic gizmo would- the thing is...it would still be very frustrating to spend all that money and have lots of trouble with your purchase.
