The carver audio system has DSP surround modes of like Theater, Stadium, Hall and Church also offering five internal power amplifiers. Unfortunately, it only has one set of video record outputs, S-video, audio, and composite video jacks. It also has a jack for a record player and is in 5.1 channel DB25 input. This machine is very well built with a concept of design from the late sixties. However, this unit does allow modern components to be attached. Has broadcast and FM wave bands. Not much else to offer but has a price tag of around $200.00.

This latest design by Harman uses ultrawide-bandwidth and an amplifier that gives a great reproduction of sound. Has two different speakers, a subwoofer and remote control. Harman also boasts great attention to detail and has a jack for Record player, CD, and Cassettes. Allows for FM stereo, FM, AM tuner with plenty of presets. Usually around $300.00 for this receiver.

The ZR-8630 is a free for all smorgasbord of jacks and control that have allowed users to have this piece as the central component of their entertainment system. It has an eight-source, six-zone, receiver with audio and video switching capability. The only problem with this is the price which is around $2080.00.
