Repair or Replace?
I have a Microtek Scanmaker 4 flatbed scanner, which needs repair. which Fixing it could cost as much as $200 plus round-tip shipping ($70). It has been an excellent machine. It's four years old and cost $600 new. A comparable scanner, with current technology, will run $400 (street). Is it worth repairing the old machine, understanding that something else could go wrong? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a new one?
