I use a Mac for all my imaging work, and I've noticed that some of my uploads look a bit dark on a PC screen. I'm aware of the different gamma setting for the two platforms, so I'm wondering if there's anything I can do when I scan the photos to compensate... my scanner lets me specify gamma as part of the pre-scans adjustments. I think it's set to 1.6; what would be the optimal setting for cross-platform viewing?
