I've found some negative film from 1979 back to early 70's. It is about the size of 35mm (I measured it with ruler - it's 1.25 x 1.25"). However, it doesn't have a "strip" on the top, only the bottom.

While the negatives fit the 35mm trays, the top is cutoff, eliminating a significant amount of area.

I was semisuccessful in putting the film in the medium format trays and putting some hard backing in the hole that is left. However, I then experienced moire patterns.

Does anyone have any suggestions. It's my understanding that I could use AON (I think) glass and put the negatives between that. Has anyone found this anywhere? I went to a craft store but they only had regular glass (which I tried and that also gave me moire patterns).

I have quite a bit of these so I'm looking for as easy a solution as possible.
