Scanner as a copier
I use my scanner often as a copy machine. It's not as fast, but it's a lot closer than the closest copy machine to us (7 miles away), and thus it works pretty well in a pinch.

Re: Scanner as Copier
Better to go for a multifunction printers which had Scanner, Printer, Copier, Fax all-in-one, go for HP and the rates are also cheap now-a-days.

I can use my scanner as a photocopier too but I really want a flatbed scanner that can scan an 11x17 inch paper size in color (my current scanner is very old). I want to be able to scan small paintings reasonably well to make prints. Does anyone here know of a good model that isn't over $1500 USD. That's a bit steep for me.

I do this too, is a good result when I want to share some photos the same time! I just scan and print.
