Special characters

Hi everyone,

I have a problem that I hope you can solve. On the local web server of my pc, there is a character that gets through with sending the HEX(E5) but when transferring the text containing that code to my webserver page; it gets substituted with other characters. I have to then specify &#EX5, and that works. I have tried contacting the server with this problem but they are not responding. Can someone tell me what is the problem here? Does anyone have any experience with a similar situation?
