Permalink explained
Permalink is the short for “permanent link”. It is basically a blogging term. It is a URL that links to a particular piece of news or web posting. Users can use the same to bookmark articles. Blogs that update content on a daily basis or change content should make use of permalinks. It is an integral aspect of blogging. It would be difficult for users to find your blog posts without permalinks. In a nutshell, permalinks assign a certain web address to postings. This lets visitors bookmark blog entries and even link to from other sites
