A fire engine or fire truck usually refers to a vehicle designed to fight fires. Although civilians may use the terms fire truck and fire engine interchangeably, to an emergency worker, the words represent different types of fire fighting apparatus.

I never really see any articles about technology and fire fighting----such as scanning heat centers----negative load on building structure---IE--walls --floor or roof---ready to colaspe. certainly we could save the lives of occupants and firefighters with such developed tecnology.
