Air purifiers for the home use ionization to clean the indoor environment by making dust you can't see with the human eye "stick" together and fall to the surface s or floors---thus being able to clean or vacuum them away. Normally these particles are triggers for allergies/asthma.

I've always wondered about that -- how dust affects allergies or asthma. It's interesting to me to know that a clean house is not just aesthetically pleasing, but it's healthy.

Radiation is absorbed by the material it penetrates by a process known as ionization. Radiation creates ions in the material that it passes through, and some or all of the radiation energy is lost during this process.
