Cool Ionization process--simply put

rthe atmosphere is made of negative and positive ions. When you see lightning in the sky----there are more negative ions present---natures cleaning proccess. Air purifiers for the home use ionization to clean the indoor environment by making dust you can't see with the human eye "stick" together and fall to the surface s or floors---thus being able to clean or vacuum them away. Normally these particles are triggers for allergies/asthma.

I've always wondered about that -- how dust affects allergies or asthma. It's interesting to me to know that a clean house is not just aesthetically pleasing, but it's healthy.

Radiation is absorbed by the material it penetrates by a process known as ionization. Radiation creates ions in the material that it passes through, and some or all of the radiation energy is lost during this process. The three principle levels of ionization are the Photoelectric effect, the Compton Effect, and Pair-Production. This process of radiation absorption is called ionization.
