Default Tivo stock

I think this is an interesting thought. For how much people like watching TV and like to have the latest and best technology, one thing I don't feel ever caught on was Tivo. The concepts are good, but just not enough. When Tivo first came out a few years back it was a hot stock buy. The stock price started out around $30.00 a share, even went up as high as close to $44.00 a share in just a short period of time. I'm sure those stock buyers were excited. However, like everything else that is good that must end, the high stock prices did not last long. After bouncing up and down for a few months at a time, in eventually did a huge drop from about $35.00 to, your not going to believe this, $5.00 a share! Is that crazy or what! This dropped occurred within two years of Tivo existence. Since the drop, Tivo has bounced maybe as high as $12.00 a share and dropping below $5.00. Today, Tivo opened at $6.70 a share. It sounded like a great idea, but it just didn't catch on.

For people that watch tv a lot then tivo is a good buy for them but people like me who maybe get 5 hours a week in it would be stupid to buy. I think theyre are a ton of different brands and such out there its hard to choose form the millions. But most people will choose from cheapest

Hmmm . . that IS interesting. I wouldn't have guessed that the shares would have dropped that much, especially with all the positive comments about TiVo on this forum.

Check it out for yourself. You can look it up at MSN money and go to the stock section. The stock name for Tivo is Tivo. I found it very interesting. I first learned about it when a friend of mine was telling me about changing his stocks. He said he had bough shares in Tivo, thinking it was going to be a huge craze, and he lost most everything. That was the first I had heard of Tivo, and that was just a couple years ago. I do not know anyone that actually has Tivo, so I'm not sure how good it really is. No matter what, judging by the stocks, it never caught on. Too bad realy.
