Camcorders of the 21st Century
I might have to post this somewhere else, but regardless, I'm curious what everyone's take is on "camcorders". I know that digital ones exist. My folks had an 8mm one, and I know there was another one that existed where a person put the video cassette into a VHS tape that had this special little hole in it. Anyway, does anyone still own these things?

I do and mine works fine. I haven't been able to afford to replace my video camera yet, but I know I am going to need advise when that time comes.

I'm thinking especially since VCR's are becoming more obscelete, a good plug on a digital camera would be nice here.

Do you have experience with a digital recorder? Do you burn DVD's then, or how do you save the video?

Cool -- that's much less than I would have guessed for a camera that can do that.

I can't imagine anyone choosing the old-style recorder when such small ones are available.
