Arrow trying-so-hard graphics looking fake?

does anybody else think that - in certain, select movies - it seems like they're trying soo hard to look realistic, that it just looks almost as fake as not using graphics at all?
anyone?

Definitely. I think that CG kids are creepy. Make them look like cartoons or use real actors.

Some it could actually be intentional, believe it or not. Sometimes a director or producer will want that effect for whatever reason. Depending on the movie, it can actually add to the atmosphere.

I heard a review of the new film Monster House that basically said that CG killed it. I've not seen the film, but I trust these reviewers. They believed that the film would've been better in live action with CG implemented when needed -- they claimed it could've been the new Goonies (great film).

I think they go a bit over board but it is kind of fun to watch how realistic the graphics are... It looks soooooo real

I have to agree, sometimes the match up of live actors and cg just looks awkward and uncomfortable.

They kind of take you to another place in the right context.
